A later NHTSA campaign (24V464) extended coverage through the 2024 Atlas and 2020-2024 Atlas Cross Sport, so the repair is available, though confirming it’s closed on any specific used vehicle still takes a VIN lookup.

The 2018 Atlas carries the most documented complaint history of any year in the lineup. Between NHTSA and third-party complaint databases, the 2018 model piled up a complaint count that runs well beyond later years, and that first model year also saw a separate rear coil spring recall (campaign 42J2/42J3) alongside the PODS issue.
